Hi everyone, Cheryl and I were in Mayfair last week. The new marina road is complete ( by turkey standards! ) from the Marina to within 500yards of Mayfair, after that it is a dug out dirt track you cannot drive on or across. You can walk across it to the Dolmus stop but you drop down about two feet into the excavated dirt track!!!!!!!!!!!. There are various ways to reach Mayfair by car, we found the easiest to take the track opposite the BP garage. You can also get to the marina road above Kamaci petrol and cross it ending up almost opposite the house with the dog kennel outside. Hopefully when we go out again in June it might be finished then again it is Turkey build so who knows!!!!.

Hiya all.
We were at Mayfair 2 last week, the cow was only there for a couple of days so will have to get milk elsewhere  Wink

Speaking to one of the bar owners who said a decision had been made that the ancient burial ground was to remain and the road was to detour around it,so work was to carry on soon.

Lets hope that its true, all that climbing up and down the roadworks is hard work when you've had a few Efes and wines Smiley

Hi Paul, went past it yesterday - is as black as black can be unfortunately. Very, very sad. Had only been trying to find it the day before to buy a new water pump. :0( looks like they have some things from it being sold next door.

Hi, We were there over Easter and were quite shocked to come across the 'hole'.  We to found the easiest way going on the track opposite the BP Garage.  I have taken photos as we have friends going in July and trying to explain is quite difficult. Then again like you say it may be done by then ........ Wink
